Furry Murray

My parents' dog, the sweet and furry, Murray, had to be put to sleep yesterday. She was a precious asset to my mom and dad. When my childhood dog passed my parents decided they would not get another dog. Two weeks later my sister, mom and I went for a stroll through our neighborhood. On a light post a sign read "Samoyed Spitz Puppies." The address was in our neighborhood, so we decided to stop by and see what in the world a Samoyed Spitz was. To our delight, we discovered a litter of little white puff balls with the most adorable and compassionate eyes.

Murray swiftly made herself at home. She was a fast learner and grew from a puff ball puppy into a medium sized old soul in no time.

As my parents sent their daughters to college, Murray remained and provided mom and dad with consistent companionship. She lived a fantastic fourteen years. Thanks for your loyalty, old girl.

  1. Oh she was a cute pup! That is so hard. One of our family dogs, Molly, died this year and it was really sad for all of us, my parents especially. I'm sorry, Beth.
