After enjoying a morning of silently falling snow, Chris and I realized that if we did not pack up all of our belongings by Friday around noon, we would be trapped in Asheville for Christmas. This realization hit us around 11 AM. That gave us exactly one hour to pack baby items, dog items, our own items, oh, and Christmas gifts. The scrambling that ensued was rather comic.
Our trip down to Florida was surprisingly smooth. It took just over two hours to get to Spartanburg, but from that point on we had open road and no snow or ice. Leaving a day early meant we were able to surprise both of our families. They certainly did not mind early guests.
Ella Brooks had a couple of brand new adventures in Florida.

- We went to the Brevard Zoo.
And we saw (and tried to squish) a green parrot,
an Alpaca that liked to smile for the camera,
and we pet an armadillo.
We had fun at the zoo.
- We learned to play the piano. EB is a musical genius.
that alpaca is cracking me up!!!!
ReplyDeleteEB is just precious. I can't handle it. Hope you guys had a wonderful Christmas!
