Isaiah 55:11-13
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
12 You will go out in joy
and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and hills
will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field
will clap their hands.
13 Instead of the thornbush will grow the pine tree,
and instead of briers the myrtle will grow.
This will be for the LORD's renown,
for an everlasting sign,
which will not be destroyed.
I love it when God's handiwork points my thoughts back to Him. It is good to breathe it in. Summer is the season of the trees clapping their hands and the hills bursting into song. It is so loud in my ears, so jubilant in my heart. Can't you just feel it all around? Simply beautiful. Simply amazing. What promises fulfilled.

That is such a joyful and encouraging passage. Thanks for sharing it and your thoughts, Beth. Definitely makes me want to get out of my house and stay out all day--maybe next summer... :)
ReplyDeleteThat was me, not Nick. Although he is glad you shared, too.
ReplyDeleteyou just made me cry.
